Southeastern Illinois College is pleased to announce the signing of Austin Gaither and Samantha Kresselt, both from Herrin High School, to the SIC Falcon Archers, the college's renowned archery team. Both Austin and Samantha bring years of experience and a deep passion for archery to the team.

"I am excited to have Samantha and Austin coming to the SIC Archery Team," said Ricky Sauls, Head Archery Coach. "They will be competing in the Barebow class, which is the closest thing to the NASP Program. I am sure this will be an easy transition for them both, and I am confident they will do well. They are both excited to be able to continue competing and can’t wait to see what the next level is all about."

Austin Gaither has been involved in the NASP Program for 7 years and has been a member of 4-H during high school. He is majoring in the Outfitter Wildlife Management Program at Southeastern Illinois College, highlighting his dedication to wildlife conservation and outdoor sports.

Samantha Kresselt has also been shooting archery for 7 years in the NASP Program. In addition, she is a member of the Herrin Band, showcasing her commitment to both music and sports. Samantha is majoring in Criminal Justice at SIC, demonstrating her interest in law enforcement and justice.

The addition of Austin Gaither and Samantha Kresselt to the SIC Falcon Archers further strengthens the team's roster and commitment to excellence. The Falcon Archers, which began as a small pilot program in 2011, have since won national awards against Division I universities, expanded to include an indoor facility and indoor team, and regularly host high school tournaments. The Falcon Archers are proud members of USA Archery and ASA Archery.
