FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Southeastern Illinois College (SIC) Softball proudly announces the signings of Taylor Cottom and Zoey Kellerman, both standout athletes hailing from Trico High School in Campbell Hill, Illinois. These additions further solidify the Falcons' commitment to assembling a dynamic team for the upcoming seasons.
Taylor Cottom, a 5'10" power hitter, brings versatility to the team with her ability to play the corners and catch. Not only is she a force on the field, but Taylor's diligence in her schoolwork makes her an exemplary representative of SIC Softball's focus on academic excellence as well as athletic performance.
Zoey Kellerman, known for her power hitting, excels as a right-handed pitcher and first baseman. Despite overcoming some injuries, Zoey is poised to make significant contributions on the mound, in the field, and at the plate. Her resilience and multifaceted skill set make her a valuable asset to the team.
SIC Softball Coach Maggie Calcaterra expresses her excitement about the newest signings, stating, "I am excited to add both of these players to the SIC roster, as they should have a major influence in our run production. Taylor and Zoey can hit for power, but have been well coached and are smart on the bases as well."
The addition of Taylor Cottom and Zoey Kellerman underscores SIC Softball's commitment to recruiting well-coached, smart players who bring both power and strategic acumen to the team. As part of the NJCAA Division I, Southeastern Illinois College continues to build a competitive program that emphasizes excellence on and off the field.
