HARRISBURG, Ill. (April 3rd, 2023)- Southeastern Illinois College Archery Coach Ricky Sauls has announced that Hardin County High School senior Aiden Vaughn has signed the Falcon Archers for the 2023-2024 school year. Aiden has been shooting archery for 3 years and has excelled in the sport, earning this well-deserved scholarship.
Throughout his time at Hardin County High School, Vaughn has shown exceptional dedication to his studies and extracurricular activities. He has been an active member of several organizations including FFA, Academic Challenge, Scholar Bowl, National Honor Society, Student Council, Basketball, Golf, Track and the Archery Team.
Vaughn plans to attend SIC to earn his Associates Degree and then transfer to earn a degree in Civil Engineering. He is looking forward to continuing his passion for archery while also pursuing his academic goals.
When asked about signing to the SIC Falcon Archers, Aiden stated, “I am super excited and thankful to get to shoot for the SIC archery team. I want to thank God, my family, and my coaches for getting this scholarship. I’m glad to get to continue shooting archery for two more years. I hope to make new friends and increase my knowledge in academics and archery at SIC”.
