HARRISBURG, Ill. (December 12th, 2022) – Allison Prentice, an upcoming graduate of Brandon High School in Ortonville, Michigan, has signed her intent to compete with the Southeastern Illinois College Falcon Archers.

Prentice has been shooting archery for over 12 years and is a member of the Flint Bowmen Archery team. She has several accolades to show for her time spent shooting. In 3-D Competition, she has won the Michigan Shooter of the Year competition along with the Easton Pro-Am. In indoor, she has taken 2nd place at S3DA Nationals, 3rd at the Vegas tournament, and has multiple state titles. In outdoor competition, Prentice has a title from the S3DA State Tournament. SIC Head Archery Coach Ricky Sauls is excited to add an accomplished archer to his team in 2023.

“I have been watching Allie for a couple of years and talking with her and her parents. I know Allie will bring a lot to SIC and the archery team,” said Sauls. “She is very accomplished in archery and an even better person. I have no doubt she will accomplish great things at SIC and in life.”

Prentice’s past archery coaches Joe Bailey and Cara Kelley are also confident that Prentice will be a great addition to the Falcon Archers.

“Southeastern Illinois College is extremely fortunate to land such an accomplished archer, but even more fortunate to have such an exceptional person joining their team,” said Kelley. “It has been an honor working with Allie, and I look forward to watching her continue on her archery journey.”

Bailey said “Allie has brought coaching archery to a new level for me. I can’t wait to see her archery in the future.”

While at SIC, Prentice plans to major in Criminal Justice with the goal of becoming a Federal Conservation Office. Of the signing, she said “I’m very excited to be going to SIC. I can’t wait to start shooting and going to school there. Most of all I can’t wait to make new friends and learn new things.”
