Southeastern Illinois College (SIC) is thrilled to announce the latest addition to the SIC Falcon Archers, Lane Barger. Lane, a talented archer from Pope County High School, officially joins the Falcon Archers and brings with him a wealth of experience and dedication.

Lane has been passionately shooting a bow for the past three years, honing his skills and demonstrating exceptional promise. During his high school years, Lane was actively involved in various extracurricular activities including FFA, baseball, cross country, Hometown Heroes, and the Pep Club, showcasing his diverse talents and commitment to excellence.

Lane will be majoring in Welding Technology at SIC with aspirations of becoming a pipeline welder. His dedication to his studies and future career goals mirrors his commitment to archery, making him a well-rounded and determined individual.

Coach Ricky Sauls expressed his enthusiasm for Lane joining the team, stating, "I found Lane a little late but am glad our paths crossed. Lane is very excited for the opportunity and I am excited to have him on the team. This is going to be a building year for the archery team with only four shooters returning, but I have a lot of talent coming in and can’t wait to see what they accomplish."
