Southeastern Illinois College (SIC) is proud to announce the signing of Tyzae Rowland, a talented 6'3" Guard from Grayville High School, to the Men's Basketball team. Rowland's impressive skills and dedication to the game make him a valuable addition to the Falcon roster.

During his senior year at Grayville High School, Rowland showcased his scoring prowess, finishing as the #3 scorer in the state of Illinois with an impressive 24.1 points per game. He also contributed 8.4 rebounds per game and demonstrated exceptional accuracy at the free-throw line, shooting an impressive 87%.

Rowland's achievements on the court were recognized with multiple accolades, including being named to the all-tournament team at the Wayne City and Dietrich tournaments. He was also honored as an all-conference selection in the Midland Trail Conference. Rowland set a new single-season points record at Grayville, scoring 773 points in his senior year alone, and finished 2nd all-time at Grayville High School with 1927 career points.

Off the court, Rowland is a first-class student-athlete who prioritizes academics. He was recognized at the Illinois Principal's Association Student Recognition Ceremony for his "integrity, work ethic, and leadership."

In the summer of 2023, Rowland showcased his skills on the AAU circuit as a member of the SI Select AAU team, which won the Reebok World Championships in Memphis, Tennessee.

"We are thrilled to welcome Tyzae Rowland to the SIC Men's Basketball team," said Head Coach Sam Swinford. "Tyzae's exceptional talent on the court, combined with his dedication to academics, makes him an ideal fit for our program. His addition will undoubtedly make us a better team from day one."
