Southeastern Illinois College (SIC) Softball proudly announces the signing of sisters Hope and Hallie Newell from Johnston City High School, marking the second and third additions to the Falcons' 2024 Recruiting Class. Known for their impressive skills and dedication to the game, the Newell sisters bring a wealth of talent and experience to the NJCAA Division I softball program.

Hope Newell, a versatile player with a keen understanding of the game, is set to strengthen the team's depth at second base. Meanwhile, Hallie Newell, showcasing her speed and prowess, will contribute as an outfielder. Their combined knowledge and quick reflexes make them valuable assets to the Falcons.

SIC Softball Coach Maggie Calcaterra is enthusiastic about the newest signings, stating, "All of our incoming players have come from great high school programs and have gained a lot of experience playing on some quality travel ball teams. I am eager to see them contribute next year."
