Southeastern Illinois College is excited to announce the signing of Callie Russell, a highly talented bowler from Carterville High School. Russell’s impressive achievements on the lanes have made her a standout athlete, and she is set to join the Falcons Bowling Team for the upcoming season.

Callie Russell comes to SIC from the prestigious girls' program at Carterville High School, which earned its reputation as the premier program in southern Illinois this past year. As a four-year starter under the guidance of Coach Lee Kirchner, Callie played an integral role in leading her team to a remarkable 12th-place finish in the state championship. Her consistent performance and dedication to excellence have set her apart as a seasoned player within an exceptional program.

Head Falcon Bowling Coach Doug Cottom expressed his excitement about Callie joining the team, saying, "Callie comes to us from the premier girls program in southern Illinois this past year, Carterville. She is a 4-year starter for Coach Lee Kirchner on a team that finished 12th in the state this past year. We get a seasoned player that was a fixture in a great program. She will play a lot for us the next two years."

The Falcon Bowling Team has been competing since 2018, besting Division I universities in regional competition as a member of the United States Bowling Congress Collegiate.
