Southeastern Illinois College (SIC) is proud to announce the signing of two bowlers, Matt Watson and Eli Fromm, from Harrisburg High School. These talented athletes have demonstrated exceptional skills on the lanes and are set to join the SIC Bowling Team for the upcoming academic year.

Matt Watson, a senior at Harrisburg High School, recently inked his letter of intent to compete with the SIC Bowling Team. Known for his exemplary performance as the leadoff person for his state-qualifying team, Matt has left an indelible mark on the Harrisburg Bulldogs. His unwavering enthusiasm for the sport and dedication to constant improvement have made him a true asset to his team. As a fixture in the lineup for nearly every match and tournament over the past two years, Matt's skill and tenacity have not gone unnoticed. In recognition of his exceptional abilities, he was named to the 1st Team All-Tournament at the Belleville East Invite this year. Head Coach Doug Cottom believes Matt's talent and consistent pinfall will be invaluable to the SIC Bowling Team. Cottom stated, "I look for Matt to contribute a lot these next two years. He may not be flashy, but he knocks down a lot of pins."

Joining Matt on the SIC Bowling Team is Eli Fromm, another exceptional bowler from Harrisburg High School. Eli has shown tremendous growth and improvement throughout his high school career, making him an exciting addition to the SIC team. As an integral part of the Bulldog team that advanced to the state finals this year, Eli has proven himself in high-pressure situations. His size and strength on the lanes make him a force to be reckoned with, particularly during late-day tournament play. Coach Doug Cottom recognizes the impact Eli will have on the SIC squad, stating, "Eli is a big, strong player that really brings his 'A' game late in the day in tournament play. This will really help our squad."

The SIC Falcon Bowling Team, formed in 2018, competes on a national level under the governing body of the U.S. Bowling Congress Collegiate. The program has consistently shown its commitment to excellence and the development of well-rounded athletes. By adding Watson and Fromm to their roster, the Bowling Falcons look forward to a successful 2023-2024 season.
