Southeastern Illinois College is excited to announce that two Falcon baseball players have garnered well-deserved recognition for their outstanding performances through out the season. Eli Burkhart and Carter Hood have received prestigious honors for their remarkable achievements on the field.

Eli Burkhart, a sophomore outfielder, has been named to the Great Rivers Athletic Conference (GRAC) All-Conference team. Burkhart's contributions to the team were invaluable, especially during GRAC play. He displayed exceptional hitting prowess, boasting an impressive batting average of .444. During GRAC games, Burkhart recorded two doubles, three triples, and six home runs, proving to be a formidable offensive force for the team. Additionally, his outstanding performances did not go unnoticed, as he was awarded the NJCAA Division One Player of the Week for the week of April 19th. During that exceptional week, Burkhart showcased his skills with 13 RBIs, a remarkable .733 batting average, two home runs, and three doubles. His offensive prowess and consistent production were truly outstanding.

Carter Hood, a freshman infielder, has been recognized for his exceptional fielding skills. Hood has been named to the NJCAA Division One Region 24 Gold Glove team, a testament to his outstanding defensive abilities. Throughout the season, Hood consistently displayed remarkable defensive prowess, showcasing his exceptional skills as an infielder. His commitment to excellence in the field has not only helped the team, but it has also earned him well-deserved recognition at the regional level.
