Southeastern Illinois College Athletics and the Falcon Bowling program have announced the signing of Harrisburg High School bowler Tucker Lewis to continue his academic and athletic career with the Falcons.
Falcon head coach Doug Cottom expressed excitement about adding Lewis to the program.
“We feel really good about getting Tucker into the fold,” Cottom said. “He’s still relatively new to the sport, only beginning to bowl during the final two years of his high school career, so we truly believe his best years are still ahead of him.”
Lewis competed in one of the top high school bowling programs in the state at Harrisburg, where competition for lineup spots was fierce.
“Tucker was unfortunate in the sense that he was trying to crack a state championship-caliber lineup,” Cottom added. “At the same time, being part of that environment and practicing alongside great players helped accelerate his development tremendously. If he continues to work at it, we believe he’ll contribute very quickly for us.”
Lewis joins the Falcons as the program continues to build momentum heading into the upcoming season.
