Southeastern Illinois College is excited to welcome Camden Crow to the Falcon Archery team. A senior at Carmi-White County High School, Crow officially signed his commitment to SIC, where he plans to major in Agricultural Education before later transferring to Southern Illinois University Carbondale to become an agriculture teacher.
During his high school career, Crow has been an exemplary student and leader. He is a member of the National Honor Society, an officer for the Maroon Platoon, and currently serves as the president of the Carmi-White County FFA.
“I’m so excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to meet so many new people,” said Crow.
Carmi-White County High School Principal Bart King praised Crow’s character and work ethic, stating, “It has been a pleasure to observe Camden Crow’s talents and dedication to excellence in everything he undertakes. He is articulate, resourceful, and always willing to go the extra mile. His leadership, work ethic, and determination have made a lasting impact on our school and community.”
SIC Head Archery Coach Ricky Sauls expressed his enthusiasm about Crow joining the team.
“I am excited to have Camden as part of the SIC Archery family,” said Sauls. “Camden is new to competition archery but not to archery itself. His enthusiasm and eagerness to learn will make him a great fit with our team.”
Surrounded by his family at his signing, Crow was joined by his grandparents, Dr. Frank and Sandy Barbre, his parents, Chris and Melissa Crow, his uncle, Lance Barbre, and SIC Arhcery Head Coach Ricky Sauls.
