Jon Watts
After a 20 year hiatus, Southeastern Illinois
College hired Jon Watts to lead the return of volleyball to campus in
the summer of 2021.
Watts has over 16 years of
high school varsity coaching experience. He led Crab Orchard High School
from
2005-2017. During that time, he won 20 games or more in 8 of 13
seasons, won four Regional
Championships, appeared in eight Regional Finals, won six Conference
Championships, had 1 IHSA Sweet 16
appearance. From 2019-2021, Watts then led Johnston City High School.
In his high school coaching career, he won over 300 games.
Coach
Watts also has experience at the club level with SMASH and SIVBCA. He
also served on the SIVBCA committee. In addition, Watts has vast camp
experience. He has played host to junior high camps for over 16 years
and has also attended and worked summer camps including FCA, SIUC, and
Nike.
