Four Southeastern Illinois College men's basketball players earned
recognition for their efforts this past winter.

Sophomore guards Monič Hudson and Austin Hill, along with center Mohamed
Ntumba were name to the All-Region team of Region 24.

Hudson, a native of Bowling Green, Ky. averaged 12.6 points per game during
his sophomore season.

Hill (Covington, Ky.) was Southeastern's leading scorer, coming in with
over 15.2 points per game.

The six-foot-seven Ntumba (Kinshasa, Congo) averaged 13.1 points and pulled
down 8.8 rebounds per game.

All three also were named to the Great Rivers Athletic Conference
All-Conference team, along with freshman teammate Mamadou Seck (Dakar,
Senegal).

Seck  averaged 11.8 points per contest and 10.5 rebounds while coming off
the bench for SIC.

Seck missed the final eight games of the regular season with a broken hand
before returning for the Region 24 postseason tournament.

The injury came at an inopportune time for Seck and the Falcons, as the
swingman was right in the middle of league M.V.P. conversation.

"I think it indicates we had an outstanding regular season," Falcons
head coach Todd Franklin said of the selections. "And I think it also
indicates something that has been very true about our program in that we
have been very balanced. These young men were very deserving. "

Southeastern finished the season with a 24-5 record and finished second in
the GRAC regular season standings. At one point, SIC was 19-0 and ranked as
high as second nationally.
